St Paul's Prayer for Us
This, then, is what I pray, kneeling before the Father, from whom every fatherhood, in heaven or on earth, takes its name.
In the abundance of his glory may he, through his Spirit, enable you to grow firm in power with regard to your inner self, so that Christ may live in your hearts through faith, and then, planted in love and built on love, with all God's holy people you will have the strength to grasp the breadth and the length, the height and the depth; so that, knowing the love of Christ, which is beyond knowledge, you may be filled with the utter fullness of God.
Glory be to him whose power, working in us, can do infinitely more than we can ask or imagine; glory be to him from generation to generation in the Church and in Christ Jesus for ever and ever. Amen.

A Prayer of Confidence in God
Father, I abandon myself into your hands;
do with me what you will.
Whatever you may do, I thank you.
I am ready for all, I accept all.
Let only your will be done in me and in all your creatures.
I wish no more than this, O Lord.
Into your hands I commend my soul;
I offer it to you, with all the love of my heart,
for I love you, Lord,
and so need to give myself,
to surrender myself
into your hands,
without reserve,
and with boundless confidence,
for you are my Father.

About this website
This site went 'live' at Easter 2006. It is still under development. If you are a member of the parish and there is anything missing or anything you would like to add, please use the form on the Conact Us page. No-one's role has been deliberately missed off; please accept our apologies and let us know. Thanks.
There is a new spirit in the Church; we in Fordingbridge and Ringwood are called above all to be a worshipping community that shares in its spirituality and lives out its faith together in a way that people will see and recognise Christ, everyone playing his or her part. This is a tall order, but the philosophy that holds Christian commitment to be an entirely personal matter, by which too many Christains in this country have avoided their call to ministry and by which the rest of the country has found a comfortable way to ignore Christianity is discredited; so too is the tendency among us that our spiritual development and theological understanding come to a standstill at confirmation.
The Pastoral Parish Councils hope that this website will play some part, however small, in unifying our faith community by enthusing, informing, stimulating ideas, providing resources and a forum.
The hope is that as many of our community as possible will contribute whatever they feel moved to contribute.
